Top 5 Wednesday: Favourite Character Names

Top 5 Wednesday was created by Lainey from gingerreadslainey and is hosted by Sam from Thoughts on Tomes. You can find the Goodreads group here.
Today's topic is favourite character names. I picked these not so much because they suited the characters (which they do), but mostly because I just like the names pure and simple. Here's my list!
1. Daenerys Targaryen (A Game of Thrones)

I absolutely love this name. It sounds so powerful, yet almost flowery at the same time. I just like the way this one is spelled as well.
2. Violet Baudelaire (A Series of Unfortunate Events)

I've always enjoyed flower names, and Violet is one of my favourites. Plus the surname Baudelaire sounds so distinguished and fancy at the same time.
3. Bobby Pendragon (The Merchant of Death)

This name is fun because it has the word "dragon" in it. Pendragon is just an awesome name to have in general.
4. Primrose Everdeen (The Hunger Games

Again, another flower name that totally speaks to me. Primrose sounds so delicate and Everdeen is equally as lovely.
5. Cinder (Cinder)

There's something strong about this name that I really like. It is inspired by Cinderella, but losing the "ella" at the end makes it a simple and creative adaption.
